This postgraduate seminar for gastroenterologists, surgeons, internists, and oncologists will focus on recent major advances in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal disease. Faculty members, distinguished in the fields of surgery, gastroenterology, medicine, hepatology and transplantation, will utilize a series of lectures and symposia to present a variety of problematic topics. On Wednesday, the entire day will be devoted to computerized interactive case-management sessions based upon the didactic material presented during the course. Computerized responses to clinical questions from the case presentations are immediately available to participants, affording an excellent means of stimulating interaction between faculty and participants.
