This individually tailored Oral Presentation Skills workshop is intended for those who need to prepare and deliver oral presentations. You will receive training in PowerPoint design, how to pace your delivery, voice production, using microphones and tips on how to make your presentation effective. Before the workshop, you will be expected to prepare a 7 minute presentation illustrated with PowerPoint slides. During the workshop, you will have a chance to give your presentation and receive constructive feedback from the workshop leader. The workshop leader will share with you his years of experience in giving oral presentations and will pass on to you some key ‘tricks of the trade’.

Faculty
The course is led by professional trainer and practitioner John Carpenter (PhD). Dr Carpenter was a member of the European Medical Writers’ Association (EMWA). He was a member of the group that in 2005 developed the EMWA guidelines on the role of medical writers in developing peer-reviewed publications. For many years he has been developing and delivering training workshops for the pharmaceutical industry and medical professionals.
